Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel is the oldest five-star hotels in Makkah which was opened in 1983 managed by Makarem group for Hospitality member of the Saudi Hotel & Resort Company. The hotel is designed at international standard on an area of 3360 m² featuring an elegant lobby, which is the largest in Makkah. The hotel has celebrated its silver jubilee (25 years) of its opening in 2008 with the completion of the renovations works, which included the development of a new entrance on the Ajyad street and the Haram Al-Sharif as well as the expansion of the lobby, new restaurants and included the renovations of all the rooms and suites.
