The Makarem Ajyad Makkah Hotel, a five-star establishment, first opened its doors in 1983 under the management of Makarem Group for Hospitality, a member of the Saudi Hotel & Resort Company. Boasting an elegant lobby, one of Makkah's largest, this hotel completed extensive renovations in 2008, including a new entrance on Ajyad Street and Haram Al-Sharif. The renovations also added new restaurants and upgraded all rooms and suites.
